Degree: Master (Mestrado)

Entry Requirements:


Candidates are required to meet one of the following pre-requisites:
a) a graduation or any other legally equivalent certificate;
b) a BA obtained in a foreign university as long as the program is organized in accordance with the principles of Bologna and the country has agreed to that process;
c) a foreign academic degree approved, by the Scientific Council, as being in accordance with the graduation degree aims;
d) an academic curriculum, scientific, artistic or professional, that the Scientific Council has approved stating the capacity of the candidate to follow this study cycle.



Language of Instruction: Portuguese.

Teaching Mode: Blended learning.

Goals / Employment:


The MSc in Food Consumption Sciences  adopts a multidisciplinary approach in order to enable the participants to:
- interact along the supply chain in areas such food processing, retailing and consumption activities
- play a role in activities that promotes attitudes and behaviours changes in order to gather healthy consumption patterns
- play a role in decision-making processes concerning food product development.

Curricular Structure and Credits:


The MSc of Food Science and Consumption is divided into years. During the first year (2 semesters, corresponding 60 ECTS) the student will attend several courses. The second year (corresponding 60 ECTS) is reserved for the preparation of an individual research project (dissertation) ending with a final oral discussion.
