Course Description:
This course unit is dedicated to documental cataloging.
Cataloging is related to the information organization, access and retrieval - key concepts in information management within libraries. It is therefore essential knowing how to identify and select the key featuring elements of each document.

Assessment:
Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 or 3 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a presence-based final exam (p-folio) in the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final presence-based exam (100%).


Comments:
Students are recommended to attend to Analysis and Documental Languages course units respecting their sequence, thus allowing a gradual deepening of the subject and a safer approach to new contents.
