Course Description:
Students are expected to build knowledge and acquire competencies in the design and production of various forms of media through direct interaction with the foundations of different forms of artistic expression and communication, while continuously focusing on a comparative vision.

Competences:
It is through technical and technological experimentation that the student will blend theoretical knowledge with practical know-how, both independently and through collaborative processes, so as to become capable of proposing, creating and producing objects whose plasticity may assume various forms: visual (both static and moving) and acoustic .  Experimentation and debate, from the comparative standpoint of different forms of expression, will orient the creative processes of “translation”.  Examples:  “translating” a poem or staging a narrative piece (story/tale) using images and sound; representing an eminently visual piece through sound; or sharing a personal perspective of a sculpture through the use of partial images.
