Catarina S. Nunes is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta since January 2014. She has been in academia since 2003, lecturing disciplines in areas ranging from Biostatistics; Probability and Statistics; Applied Statistics; Stochastic Processes; Control Systems; Financial Mathematics; Signal Processing; Optimization; Intelligent Systems; Statistical and Mathematical Modelling.

Catarina S Nunes already supervised and supervises several PhD Thesis (in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Modelling), more than 15 MSc Dissertations (in Statistics; Engineering with Finance; Engineering with Business Management; Automation; Statistics, Mathematics and Computation; Biostatistics and Biometry), and many undergraduate final year projects. Since 2005, she has been part of 4 research projects, two of which as leading researcher, one clinical trial and several observational clinical studies.
